Thank you to the speakers and attendees for creating such a wonderful event and don't forget to block 17 June, 19 August and 18 November for more webinars on this interesting topic!   "Diversity is a broad term that encompasses things we can see (visible diversity) and things we cannot see (invisible diversity). Regardless of its visibility, diversity is a fact that is easy to calculate and measure. In contrast, inclusivity is a choice we make every day and is equally as important as diversity. Inclusion involves encouraging everyone to bring their authentic selves to work, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, etc. It is the purposeful integration of all people. In addition to being inclusive, we must understand and appreciate that every individual exhibits unconscientious bias - it is a part of our DNA; however, we can mitigate the effects of these biases by acknowledging our biases and taking the time to routinely re-examine them and be introspective." #webinar #aippi #diversity #inclusion #committee
